Liam has been through so much it is a miracle that he gives Marcus a chance at all. These two were introduced in the last book, but this time we really get to know the two men and their history. We also got to spend some quality time getting to know Liam and Marcus.

Watching them go through their struggles to bring Max home made me love them more because there isn’t a single thing in the world they wouldn’t do for that little boy, and he was their son whether the state of Texas knew it or not. Scott brought Max to life and showed how he related to Jack and Riley individually, and as a member of their crazy huge family. In Texas Christmas, the fifth book in the series, we get another glimpse of the new twins and we get to know Max better. Once they both stopped fighting it, their love was strong enough to bring their individual families together, and they seem to be collecting more family as they go along. From the very beginning I have loved the battle between Jack and Riley. Review: It is no secret that I am a HUGE fan of RJ Scott and especially her Texas series.
